unreal..life changing experience.beautiful weather,rad people,insane cars,an of course the hizzel of drift. 3 days in a rental car there,3 days at the event,3 days driving home.4280 miles in that lil blue ford focus almost took me out.lol.gettin pulled over in oklahoma, forgot bout leaving my wallet on the bonnet an watching that shizz flyin off the car at 80, then runnin down the highway picking up money off the street.weird road people an weirder road places.funner than a 5 finger salad toss at spring break.
jus even makin this event almost seemed impossible at many times.money,broke ass car,an shit loads of last minute insanity. 2days b4 leaving my power steering pump went totally out.i got a rebuilt 1 but it didnt come with a pully.no prob,,,thats what i thought,we bent the pully harcore dumass style.no1 in the dam world had a pully available an no ps pumps were in stock anywhere.found a guy on craigs list in crystal lake selling a 04 gto ls1motor an lucky fo me he was willing 2 sell it off the motor.indeed.got tires mounted, did 1st alignment by myself at cassady tire down the street from the tat shop an off we go fo cali.
this track an layout is jus amazing. looks sooo dam simple but there r a few tricks up the sleeve of toyota speedway.thursday was tech an practice.as the day went on i started 2 feel her out like a chick on the second date.broken inner bearing on the drivers front lca didnt seem 2 faze me or the car.also was running a diff rear tire setup than ever b4 that i got hooked up on.as soon as i put my normal setup back on she felt easy,an familiar like an ex girlfriend in the sack .deff was excited bout fri.we got a lil pratice session in the morning then quallifizzle time.1 pratice run b4 qualiffizle was solid an feeling it pretty good.dont usually get 2 nervous but deff this time my nerves were trippin.knew everything i worked for all season was 2 b sitting rt there for this run.mind games r a bitch.1st run hit the 1st clip an laid down an ok run.no where near as good as my pratice runs.2nd run was rockin till i spun like a puss.so as the chips had fallen i missed top 16 by 7 points cause i got a zero for line on that 1st run.really wanted 2 move on an tandem cause thats my favorite part of the day, but it is what it is an what it was was still a huge accomplishment for me.learned alot an had a baddass time:) making plans for 2011.trian 2 get as much help as i can 2 have a successful mass murder style ass kicking face stomping next season.much love for all that have supported,helped,an believed in me this season <3 u all.
